Wolfsburg’s Josip Brekalo is now edging close to a move to Fiorentina this month.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that La Viola are inching close to signing the Croatian and the turning point in the saga came last month. The Florence-based side have already drawn up a contract for the player, who once seemed to close to other clubs such as Monza and even Napoli.
They have readied a three-and-a-half-year long deal in which the player will earn €2 million per season including bonuses. The last few details of the move are being finalised and the discrete details of the contract could change, but the move now seems to be close.
Monza were once close to signing the player but they did not finalise the last few details and reports yesterday had stated that Napoli had made contact. Udinese were also said to be interested in the Croatian, who had spent the previous season on loan at Torino.
