The April international window came to a close for the Juventus Women on duty with another round of fixtures on Tuesday.
Things couldn’t have gone any better for our Italian Bianconere, who beat Denmark 3-0 in an impressive performance, bouncing back after their spirited defeat against Sweden days earlier. Cristiana Girelli completed the scoring for the Azzurre with a fine finish, after Arianna Caruso and Lucia Di Guglielmo had already netted.
For Denmark, Amalie Vangsgaard came off the bench in the second half, but wasn’t able to add to the goal she had scored in her first appearance for her country this month.
Iceland and Sweden shared the spoils in a hectic 3-3 draw, with Viola Calligaris coming off the bench late on.
Pauline Peyraud-Magnin kept a second straight clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Mathilde Harviken’s Norway.
Hanna Bennison started for Sweden in their 1-1 draw against Wales, and Paulina Krumbiegel appeared from the bench in Germany’s 6-1 win over Scotland.
Lysianne Proulx’s Canada were the last side in action, in a game that took place overnight for Europe, and they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Argentina.
