Poland international Piotr Zielinski risks being ruled out for around two months after suffering a potentially serious injury during his three-minute cameo appearance during Inter’s 3-2 Serie A victory over Monza on Saturday night. #
Zielinski came on as a second-half substitute for Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 70th minute of Inter’s 3-2 win over Monza, but he was taken off just three minutes later after going down, clutching his calf in agony with nobody else around him. Joaquin Correa was brought on to replace him.

The former Napoli midfielder is due to report for further medical tests in Milan on Monday, but reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that he risks a two-month lay-off with what is being considered a ‘serious’ calf injury.
If that is the case, then the 30-year-old will be ruled out of Inter’s crucial run-in as they compete with Napoli and Atalanta for the Serie A title. Realistically, he is not expected to return before the beginning of May at the earliest.
He is still expected to be part of the squad for the FIFA Club World Cup taking place in June and July.
