A fresh controversy has emerged from the heated Champions League derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Now, according to a report from SPORT, Atletico Madrid have taken formal steps by submitting a letter to UEFA, accompanied by video evidence, to highlight instances of misconduct by Real Madrid players.
It is important to note that UEFA has already opened a case against Atletico Madrid due to incidents involving their supporters after the match.
Reports indicate that some fans threw objects, including plastic bottles and a lighter, towards the pitch.
In response, Atletico Madrid have decided to shift focus towards what they believe to be inappropriate actions by some Real Madrid players during the game.

The most widely discussed incident features Antonio Rudiger, who made a controversial gesture toward the home crowd by placing his finger to his neck.
Another video highlights Vinicius Jr’s interactions with the crowd. The Brazilian winger is seen addressing the stands on multiple occasions and making gestures that Atletico Madrid consider provocative.
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is also featured in one of the clips for an incident where he appeared to touch his private area while facing Atletico Madrid supporters.
Lastly, Dani Ceballos is seen pulling up his sleeves as he walked towards the dressing room, an act that some interpret as a response to the heated atmosphere.
With Atletico Madrid’s formal complaint now in UEFA’s hands, the footballing world waits to see if any disciplinary measures will be taken against the Real Madrid players involved.
