Contrary to reports, Celtic are yet to hear of official confirmation from UEFA regarding a possible one-match European away ban for supporters.

The Hoops are currently serving a two-year suspended ban on selling away tickets to fans after displaying pyrotechnics at Westfalenstadion in Germany against Borussia Dortmund in October last year.
During Celtic’s 4-2 defeat versus Aston Villa at Villa Park last week, a smoke bomb was lobbed onto the pitch after Adam Idah’s first goal which reignited an unlikely comeback for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Subsequently, Celtic released a statement last week warning supporters of the possibility UEFA’s ruiling may immediately kick in, and thus no away supporters would be allowed at Allianz Arena in two weeks time.
It outlined: “The club will obviously make robust representations to Uefa and will make every effort to ensure that our fans can attend our next Champions League match.”
“However, clearly there is a risk that supporters may not be able to attend.”

“In light of this situation, it is incumbent on the club to make supporters aware of this risk, when considering making arrangements for travel, until further information is provided by UEFA.”
Despite a report in the Telegraph this afternoon stating that Celtic will find out whether they will face any punishment after the Bayern Munich tie, the club have quickly dismissed this report.
A Celtic statement on ‘X’ said: “Please note, contrary to media reports regarding Celtic’s forthcoming match against Bayern Munich in Germany, Celtic Football Club has not as yet been informed of any timescale with regards to a decision being made on away tickets.”

There has been no official confirmation of UEFA’s decision, but Celtic will be expecting to hear the European governing bodies decision soon given the away match is less than a fortnight away.
