Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi is still training individually ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Sparta Prague.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They also report that Davide Frattesi trained with the rest of the squad today.
Inter defender Francesco Acerbi has been on the sidelines for a couple months now.
The 36-year-old picked up the injury during a Serie A match against Hellas Verona in November.
And while Acerbi had initially hoped to return to the pitch a couple weeks, he has yet to feature since.
Acerbi has been in Inter’s matchday squad for Serie A clashes against Bologna and Empoli in the last week. However, he has not featured as a substitute in either match.
According to Sky, Acerbi was not in full training with the rest of the Inter squad today.
The former Lazio and Sassuolo defender is therefore a doubt for Inter’s next match.
On Wednesday, Inter face Sparta Prague in their second-to-last match of the Champions League “league phase.”
And it is not currently certain whether Acerbi will travel with the squad for that match, reports Sky.
Meanwhile, midfielder Davide Frattesi trained normally with the rest of the squad, reports Sky. That is despite some muscular problems he’s recently had – as well as transfer rumours.
And Joaquin Correa has also returned to fitness. The Argentine is not in Inter’s Champions League squad list, but will be available against Lecce in Serie A next weekend, reports Sky.
