Reds must react quickly after dramatic draw at Everton
Liverpool will be without some familiar faces for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Wolves.
John Heitinga will likely take charge of Liverpool for the game at Anfield as a result of the drama that followed the 2-2 draw with Everton on Wednesday night.
Manager Arne Slot and assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff were both sent off for their protestations following the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, seemingly furious James Tarkowski’s late goal was allowed to stand.
Midfielder Curtis Jones was also shown a red card, having initially confronted Abdoulaye Doucoure for appearing to taunt the Liverpool supporters.
Still, the news is more positive in regard to Trent Alexander-Arnold. The defender recovered from a knee injury to feature in the closing stages on Wednesday night and could be in line to start against Wolves.
Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton are the only players set to miss out at this stage.
