Real Madrid star Rodrygo has on Tuesday evening etched his name into an altogether exclusive club.

This comes owing to his exploits in the latest edition of the Madrid Derby.

Real and Atlético are of course currently locked in action, in the first leg of a highly-anticipated Champions League Last-16 tie.

As things stand, the two sides are locked at a goal apiece, amid what has been a fascinating clash to date.

The aforementioned Rodrygo was responsible for opening the scoring, after cutting inside from the right flank to direct a brilliant left-footed finish beyond Jan Oblak.

And though his fine strike has since been cancelled out by an even better one on the part of Julián Alvarez, Rodrygo, in turn, has secured for himself a piece of modern history.

As revealed by statisticians Squakwa, the Brazilian is now one of ‘only five players to have scored 25+ Champions League goals for Real Madrid in the UCL era.

The others? Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Raúl, and Vinícius Jr.
