Fiorentina and Inter Milan will restart from the seventeenth minute of play in their postponed Serie A clash.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Fiorentina and Inter kicked off a Serie A match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi yesterday.
However, the match came to an abrupt and dramatic end after just over seventeen minutes.
This was due to a shock medical emergency to Viola midfielder Edoardo Bove. The 22-year-old collapsed unexpectedly, needing to be rushed to hospital.
Neither set of players, nor the coaching and refereeing staff, were in any mood to restart the match yesterday.
Therefore, the decision quickly came about to postpone the match.
It is far from certain when that will be. The busy fixture lists for both Fiorentina and Inter reportedly mean that it can’t be before February of next year.
One thing that is certain, however, is what the clock will look like when the postponed match kicks off.
By the time that referee Daniele Doveri stopped play yesterday following Bove’s medical emergency, it was the seventeenth minute of play.
Therefore, that is when the match will restart from.
