When Robin Le Normand was put out of action with a traumatic brain injury against Real Madrid back in September, nobody knew when we might see the centre-back back on the pitch again.
Thankfully, the 28-year-old’s recovery has gone well and we now have a better idea of when the defender could be back in action for Atlético Madrid.
As per ElDesmarque, Le Normand is expected to be fit to play in Atleti’s match against Real Valladolid at the end of this month.
Fans of Atlético Madrid will be eagerly awaiting Le Normand’s return, as the recent signing was on top form for Diego Simeone’s side before being taken out of action in September.
This follows yesterday’s news that the 28-year-old had returned to training for his club, achieving the first big milestone in his recovery.
It is very likely that the defender will need to wear a protective head covering when he returns to the pitch, in order to protect himself from further injury.
Whenever Le Normand gets back in action for Atlético, we’ll just be glad to see him back after he suffered such a scary injury, which could have easily gone a lot worse.
