Massimiliano Allegri’s mentor Giovanni Galeone feels the ex-Juventus coach will ‘never’ return to the Allianz Stadium but believes ‘more’ in a second Milan spell.
Allegri has recently emerged as one of the leading candidates to replace Sergio Conceiçao at Milan in 2024-25.
The Livorno-born tactician has been without a club since last May when he was sacked by Juventus.
A group of Bianconeri fans chanted his name on Sunday after a 4-0 loss against Atalanta, the biggest home defeat for the Bianconeri since 1967.
However, Allegri’s mentor, Galeone, ruled out a possible return to Turin.

“Allegri will never return to Juventus; I believe more in a return to Milan, but I really don’t think it could happen with the Bianconeri,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss on Tuesday via TMW.
Galeone, a former Serie A coach at Napoli, Pescara, Perugia, Udinese, and Ancona, also discussed the Scudetto race, insisting that Napoli are the favourites to win it.
“It’s absurd how Fiorentina almost managed to equalise. After Raspadori’s goal, I turned off the TV,” he said.
“I had Gasperini as a player; he was incredible in training. But in my opinion, the only way Napoli can lose this league is by their own doing. The Scudetto is theirs.”
Napoli ended a five-game winless streak on Sunday, beating Fiorentina 2-1.
Their next league game is against strugglers Venezia at the Stadio Penzo on March 16.
