Since BlueCo took over the Ligue 1 club in the summer of 2023, the road between Chelsea and RC Strasbourg Alsace has been well-trodden. There have been players that have made a permanent switch, such as Diego Moreira, however, many that have made the switch between the two partner clubs, who share the same owner, have done so on loan. After the likes of Andrey Santos, Caleb Wiley and Djordje Petrovic, Deportivo de la Coruña’s Yeremay Hernandez (22) could be the next to follow that same path, as per a report from L’Équipe.

As initially reported by Relevo, Chelsea hold an interest in Spain youth international Hernandez, who has a €20m release clause. During conversations with their Spanish counterparts, Chelsea’s hierarchy have evoked the idea of a move to Strasbourg on loan with Liam Rosenior interested in the left-winger.

However, if Hernandez were to join Les Alsaciens, one of the ongoing loans would have to be cut short. Wiley, who recently underwent a shoulder operation, would perhaps be the most obvious candidate to see his stint in Alsace cut short.
