Former Inter Milan treble-winning manager Jose Mourinho still fondly remembers the 2010 UEFA Champions League final.

During his latest interview with Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Mourinho opened the door for a potential return to Serie A.

“Of course,” he replied when asked whether he’d like to return to Italy someday.

Mourinho’s first stint in the Italian peninsula was a resounding success.

Though he only spent two years at Giuseppe Meazza, the ‘Special One’ carved his name out in the club’s history.

Indeed, after winning the Scudetto in his first season in charge, he guided Inter to a historic treble in 2009/10.

Given the Inter’s status as a domestic superpower at the time, winning the league title was a routine.

However, not even the most optimistic Nerazzurri fans could’ve expected to clinch the Champions League trophy.

Mourinho turned that dream into reality, leading Inter to their first title at Europe’s top table in over four decades.

Diego Milito’s iconic double at the Santiago Bernabeu wrote one of the romantic pages in Inter history.

And Jose Mourinho was at the steering wheel.

Now, 14 years after that memorable night in Madrid, he still sees it as one of his crown achievements.

“Oh, that’s a tough one to answer,” he replied when asked what he considers a ‘perfect’ match.

“Porto-Lazio 4-1, UEFA semi-final 2002-2003? They scored after 50 seconds, and after that, they never touched the ball again.

“Inter-Bayern 2-0, after one minute, you already knew who was going to win.

“Manchester-Tottenham 1-6, and it could have been 7, 8, or 9.

“It’s just as hard to pick a perfect match from my Chelsea teams that dominated the Premier League.”

Mourinho is currently in charge of Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce.

However, he could leave Istanbul at the end of the season.
