FC Bayern Women kicked off their 2025 winter training camp on Friday, as Alexander Straus and his team set about preparing for the second half of the season in the 15 degree Celsius warmth of Seville in Spain. The Munich Frauen are still competing on all three fronts in 2024/25 across the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League, meaning Georgia Stanway, Sarah Zadrazil and the team have some challenging months ahead of them this year.

Linda Dallmann has arrived in Spain full of energy and with defined goals for the year. “We’ll place a clear focus on improving in certain areas on the pitch, integrating the new players and working on engraining patterns of play with them,” the forward said. “The time off the pitch will also help us to get closer as a team and get to know each other better. The temperatures here in southern Spain are also ideal for us, both in our work on the pitch but also what we do off it.”
Those new players are Momoko Tanikawa and Michelle Ulbrich, but there are also four young players from the second team making up the numbers and with the chance to make their own case for a step-up during the week in Andalusia in Lucie Zähringer, Laila Portella, Veronika Litzlfelder and Marie Gmeineder.
New signing Michelle Ulbrich has joined up with her new Bayern teammates at the club’s training camp.
Fresh from touching down on Friday, the team had their first meeting and training session. Straus later spoke of his satisfaction at the first day: “The training ground, the hotel, the weather, the mood – it’s all been really good so far. We’ve had a really good start to our training camp. We’ve got a few things to work on and want to improve compared to the first half of the season. We want to work on the pitch but also in numerous discussions to lay the foundation for a good second half of the season.”
Alexander Straus is pleased with how the training camp has started.
The Bayern Frauen will have an intense training schedule in the coming days until they look to put everything into practice with a friendly against Young Boys Women on Wednesday. The game with the Swiss side kicks off at 3pm CET and can be watched live on FC Bayern TV PLUS (only available in German).
