Our predicted Manchester United line-up for this afternoon’s early kick-off at Goodison Park.
The Red Devils are back in action after a six-day break to recuperate from last weekend’s defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, which marked the 12th Premier League loss of the campaign and the eighth under Ruben Amorim.
Indeed, the boss has reigned victorious in just four top-flight matches and has claimed only 14 points from the 42 available to him. As such, it’s safe to say each game from now until the end of the campaign is a must-win if he were to salvage as respectable a finish as possible.
With regards to the players Amorim is expected to have at his disposal today, he confirmed in Friday’s pre-match press conference that Leny Yoro, Manuel Ugarte, and Christian Eriksen had all recovered from their respective setbacks and would be available for selection after missing the North London trip.
Fans have seen the last of key figures Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez in 2024/2025 due to their season-ending layoffs, while the likes of Altay Bayindir, Mason Mount and Luke Shaw all remain sidelined.

Onana;
Yoro, Maguire, De Ligt;
Hailed as a ‘special talent’ by his manager, Yoro will presumably be called upon to anchor the backline amid the side’s lengthy absentee list.
Dalot, Eriksen, Ugarte, Dorgu;
Diogo Dalot is a mainstay in the 11 – much to fans’ dismay on certain occasions. Eriksen is seeing out the final four months of his United tenure, during which he’s notched seven goals and 17 assists, and poses as a more suitable option than the out-of-sorts Casemiro.
Garnacho, Fernandes;
Zirkzee
Joshua Zirkzee offers considerably more off the ball than his counterpart Rasmus Hojlund, though neither has found the back of the net in the league since the start of December – something that has to change ASAP.
