Ange Postecoglou criticises Yves Bissouma after Tottenham defeat to Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has publicly criticised Yves Bissouma.
Spurs suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League on Sunday, as they lost 2-0 to Fulham.
Tottenham conceded twice in the final 12 minutes to lose the London derby at Craven Cottage.
Spurs are now 14th in the Premier League table with 34 points from 29 matches.
Tottenham have lost 15 Premier League games this season.
Bissouma started the match for Tottenham against Fulham on the left of a three-man midfield in a 4-3-3 formation.
Tottenham boss Postecoglou decided to take off the £25 million (Sky Sports) Mali international midfielder at half time.
After the match, the former Celtic boss was asked for his opinion on Bissouma, and he did not hold back.
Postecoglou told Tottenham’s official website about Bissouma: “I just feel Biss can sometimes let the game drift by him. He needs to be a little bit more dominant in the way he gets on the ball.
“At times I think the game gets away from him and today we needed more in that position. I needed him to play, though, because he hasn’t played a lot. At the same time you’ve got to perform.
“It’s fair to say, Biss and a few others are probably lacking a bit of confidence. That’s affecting him but we’re at the point of the season now where we need guys to get out there and put those things to one side and perform.”
Bissouma has been on the books of Tottenham since 2022 and has failed to make a huge impact at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
True, the midfielder has had injury problems, but when he has been fit and has played, he has not always been at his best.
Bissouma has made 91 appearances for Tottenham so far in his career. He has scored two goals in those games.
The midfielder is under contract at the North London club until the summer of 2026.
It is hard to see Tottenham, who have been linked with Koni De Winter, offer Bissouma a new deal, and letting the 28-year-old leave on a free transfer at the end of next season would be bad business.
It would make sense for Tottenham to cash in on Bissouma at the end of the current campaign.
