Phillip Verhounig signs for FC Red Bull Salzburg | OneFootball

Move to come in June Club World Cup transfer window

Phillip Verhounig is moving – at the end of the season during the special transfer window for the FIFA Club World Cup – from FC Liefering to FC Red Bull Salzburg and is signing a contract until the end of 30 June 2027.

The 19-year-old attacker joined us at the start of 2020 and has played through all three levels of the Red Bull Football Academy (winning three titles) before joining FC Liefering. The striker made 35 appearances for our co-operation club, in which he scored ten goals and provided five assists.

Top goalscorer in UEFA Youth League

The Austrian U19 international is enjoying a great season for our UEFA Youth League team. Phillip Verhounig, who is currently out with a muscle injury is the top scorer in the competition with eight goals.
