A massive victory for FC Barcelona over Real Madrid sees them lift the Copa del Rey title this year. Even historically, La Blaugrana have always been the most dominant team in this particular competition. With this victory, Barcelona have only gone and added yet another title to their history.
From start to finish, this game was close and it demanded every bit of energy that each player on the field had. Barcelona initiated first blood, scoring through a wonderful strike from Pedri. Soon after, Real Madrid managed to score twice before Ferran Torres levelled things up yet again.
Finally, a vicious effort from distance through Jules Kounde found the back of the net near the final moments of extra time. With that goal, Barcelona ended up winning the entirety of the game and were crowned as winners of the 2025 edition of the Copa del Rey.

However, a key player in this final was undoubtedly Lamine Yamal. While the Spanish winger did not directly score a goal himself, he provided two crucial assists that enabled Barcelona to win this game as he set up both Pedri and Ferran Torres for their goals.
Even after the game, as highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, Yamal’s confidence was brighter than ever. Claiming that he believed that Barça felt invincible this season, the 17-year-old winger spoke about how it does not matter what the opposition does:
“Even if we concede one goal, no problem. Even if we concede two goals, it’s still no problem.”
Winning the Copa del Rey undoubtedly made him happy, and his confidence after the win was clear to see:
“This year, they simply can’t beat us. We’ve proven that. I’m really happy. Visca Barça!”
However, Barcelona do not intend to stop here. After all, up next for them is a massive game in the UEFA Champions League against Inter Milan. As a result of the schedule, Hansi Flick’s team reportedly had already decided that they would not celebrate too much even if they won this particular game.
