To that end, Barcelona have been lately linked with a move for Marcus Rashford, who is likely to leave Old Trafford in January.

Flick green lights move for Rashford

In a significant development, it appears Flick has already approved Barcelona’s pursuit of Rashford, reports Diario SPORT.

It appears the Barcelona coach wants to bring in the Englishman to Catalonia this month, as he is a huge admirer of the player’s versatility.

Indeed, Rashford is a versatile frontman who can operate either out wide or play in a central role, thus making him an ideal fit for Barcelona.

Flick’s plan is to bring in Rashford and utilise him as a rotation option to Lewandowski, as the German tactician keeps one eye on the grueling schedule that awaits Barcelona during the second half of the campaign.

Rashford, for his part, prioritises a move to Catalonia. However, the forward soon requires a final call from the Spanish giants.

In fact, the report points out that the forward has set a deadline of January 15, before which Barcelona must give a definitive answer regarding his signing.

This comes at a time when Rashford has also been courted by other European giants, including AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
