Bologna are receiving bids for their top players like in basically every window and, while they have often cashed in on them, they have no intention of weakening their squad in January, so Milan and Napoli will have to wait to put their hands on Riccardo Orsolini and Dan Ndoye, Sky reports.
The Rossoneri tested the waters for the Italian attacker, proposing to insert Noah Okafor or Samuel Chukwueze in the package. The Felsinei have straight up refused to open talks.
While Bologna shut the door for Orsolini, Ndoye has decided to stay on his own and recently relayed his decision to his agents. They had been approached by a few sides. He wishes to finish the season in Emilia and will revisit things in the summer. The interest from big teams won’t go away.
The Swiss has been linked to Napoli as a possible heir to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Instead, Inter and Manchester United poked around for him last summer.
Benjamin Dominguez shining bright helps, but they don’t have much depth behind their top three wingers. It’ll depend on the offers next summer. The latter would be a bigger ‘plusvalenza,’ but the former is older. They don’t have many years to sell him for a good sum.
It wouldn’t be surprising if they brought in early a prospect who’s not totally ready yet to succeed them down the line, as they did in the past with Santiago Castro and Jens Odgaard while they still had Joshua Zirkzee. Since a few of the usual suspects are wobbly, they have a real shot at qualifying for a European competition again, so they are right to hold on.
