Chelsea have notified a Premier League club about one of their star players they want to sign this summer.

The news comes after Chelsea beat Premier League winners Liverpool 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon in what was a fantastic overall performance by The Blues.

Cole Palmer was back in fine form for Chelsea and is one of the reasons that they put in such a good performance, with the stats proving this as well.

Palmer was also involved in Chelsea’s first goal of the game in the opening minutes, as well as some good work by Romeo Lavia and Pedro Neto to setup Enzo Fernandez to provide a lovely finish to get things going.

Chelsea putting summer plans in place

It will soon be another summer transfer window from next month and clubs are already starting to put their plans into place.

The Blues are looking to sign a new striker, centre back, and potentially another attacker/winger to add more options and quality to their squad in order to kick on into next season and mount a serious title challenge.

Chelsea are being linked with Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers in some surprise news this week.

The Athletic report Chelsea have notified Aston Villa of their interest in Morgan Rogers but they are not the only Premier League side in this regard; yet it would take a sizeable fee and other factors for his exit to be considered.

So Chelsea will have to drop the big bag on Rogers if they want to land him, but it does seem like Villa might need to sell players this summer.
