Rafael Leao is AC Milan, and that feeling is reciprocated. When you think of the current day Rossoneri, the Portuguese is the star, and it seems it could stay that way.

Having a player like Leao is a blessing above everything. Not only can he drive sales and help from a commercial perspective – something which we know is a big focus of the current management – but he is also a beautiful footballer to watch.

At his best, the winger is one of the best players in world football, something which Sergio Conceicao reiterated in his press conference on Sunday afternoon; a reminder that Leao is brilliant, if sometimes frustrating.

Of course, this message has been a regular this season. After all, this has probably been the winger’s most difficult in his Milan career, though despite the constant noise surrounding him, he still has provided 25 contributions.

With this, there could be an expectation to revisit his contract situation – which is currently set to expire in 2028 – however, there are no talks being held by the Rossoneri just yet, as Calciomercato.com report.

In fact, the management have a ‘complete serenity’ regarding Leao, whose situation is totally under control. So, there is no need to discuss the future, unless it is in regard to an exit.

Ultimately, Conceicao and Paulo Fonseca have both shown that he is not the untouchable star he once was. But there is no desire to part ways with the player, rather show him that he is also a part of the team, and not a guaranteed starter, keeping him on his toes.

Recently, Leao has confirmed his focus is purely on the Diavolo, and he wants to win with the club, a feeling which he felt once again in January this year, and could do so again later this month.

It is worth noting that Chelsea and Al Nassr have opened discussions with his entourage, but there is no other thought in the star’s mind. He wants to stay in Milano and bring titles back, he is not thinking of an out.
