Milan start Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Luka Jovic in the Coppa Italia Final, while Bologna seek the trophy with Riccardo Orsolini, Santiago Castro and Dan Ndoye.

It kicks off on neutral turf at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT, 21.00 CET).

The winner will be decided after 90 minutes, extra time or even a penalty shoot-out, with the victors also qualifying for the Europa League.

Whatever happens, it will end a long drought, because Milan have not won the Coppa Italia since 2003, while Bologna’s second and most recent victory was in 1974.

It also means both these teams will compete with Napoli and Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four.

Sergio Conceicao has seemingly found his feet with the 3-4-3 formation, winning four in a row, including Friday’s 3-1 Serie A victory over Bologna at San Siro.

Youssouf Fofana returns to the side after shaking off an injury to his foot, so only Riccardo Sottil and Warren Bondo are still unavailable.

Leao and Pulisic flank Jovic, who is chosen as the centre-forward ahead of Santiago Gimenez and Tammy Abraham.

Bologna lost Martin Erlic to a calf strain, joining Estanis Pedrola on the treatment table.

Santiago Castro is back in the starting XI after that foot injury he picked up on international duty with Argentina, sending Thijs Dallinga to the bench.

The big news is the return of Ndoye from a lay-off, joining Orsolini and Giovanni Fabbian in support, preferred to Jens Odgaard.

Davide Calabria faces his former club, just months after lifting the Supercoppa Italiana as Milan captain, but only from the bench, as Emil Holm has shaken off a knock.
