With Matt just coming back from injury at his new club Brighton and Hove Albion, he’s not currently in the Denmark squad alongside his former Celtic teammate Kasper Schmeichel. That’s not going to take too long for the midfielder who marked his return from injury at the weekend by coming off the bench to score the winner against Manchester City.

Getting some rays alongside Matt are Jamesy Forrest who wasn’t selected for the Scotland squad this time around and should really follow Callum McGregor in announcing his retirement from international football. Calmac is there too as are Steven Welsh and Luke McCowan who Matt will know from playing against the former Dundee captain last season.
Matt’s probably missing Celtic more than he’s missing the Scottish weather! Here’s the image that Matt has just posted on his Instagram which simply says Football Friends…
