Former MOTD pundit predicts Manchester United vs Tottenham clash

Manchester United are set to face Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

It is a big game for both sides with Erik ten Hag and Ange Postecoglou keen to fight for the top four places to secure Champions League football next season.

The Red Devils have had a disappointing start to the season with pressure and speculation mounting on the former Ajax coach to improve results in the coming weeks.

The Manchester United faithful will be hoping that Ten Hag’s side can return to winning ways after a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace and a 1-1 draw with FC Twente in the past week.

The Red Devils are lacking goals this season with only five goals scored in the opening five Premier League fixtures.

Tottenham will be looking to take all three points with Postecoglou’s side level on points with the Red Devils after gaining seven points from a possible 15.

Ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur clash at Old Trafford, former Match of the Day pundit Mark Lawrenson has given his verdict of what he expects to see from both sides on Sunday.

Speaking to Paddy Power as per the Spurs Web, Lawrenson said: “Manchester United should have won at Crystal Palace, they peppered the bar and the post.

Tottenham had to come from behind to beat Bournemouth which showed a bit of character at least.

This has a draw written all over it.”
