Inter and Juventus are set to bolster their backlines in the summer and have added two young specialists to their shortlists, as the Nerazzurri are keen on Koni de Winter, while the Old Lady is tracking Diego Coppola.

According to RMC Sport (via Mediaset), La Beneamata sent scouts to the recent clash between Genoa and Empoli to take a close look at the center-back. They have been in touch with his entourage in previous months. On the other hand, they’ll have to shell out €30M to acquire him. They are expected to invest in the position. Milan were interested in the past but no longer are.

While Inter would have to make a splash for De Winter, Juventus could spend €12M for Coppola, L’Arena reports (via 90min). He held his own in Monday’s meeting despite his side’s loss. The two managements have been in touch. The Bianconeri would be in the driver’s seat if they decided to sign him.

The Verona youth product debuted in Serie A when he was 17 and has progressively earned a more consistent role. He has starred in 24 matches this campaign, already matching last year’s total. He has six caps with Italy U-21.

Our Take on Inter and Juventus Eyeing De Winter and Coppola

The former is a very solid prospect but might be a little too similar to Yann Aurel Bisseck and Benjamin Pavard to be a perfect fit. They can always move pieces around, but they’ll probably pay up for somebody who’s tailor-made for the anchor role. The Scaligeri starlet is on the rise but needs more seasoning to be ready for a top team. Still, the Old Lady hasn’t been shy with youngsters.
