Is Dan Burn good enough for England? Are England good enough for Dan Burn?!!!

Dan Burn. Or to give him his full official title – Big Dan Burn from Blyth.
When Thomas Tuchel on Friday named Dan Burn in his first England squad, that selection not shown the proper respect it deserved.
Many in the media questioning it, as well as indeed some Newcastle United fans.
I think there are a lot of reasons for this, the fact he is so tall, the fact he fought his way from non-league football all the to making it with Newcastle United AND England!
However, if anybody questions Dan Burn getting an England call up, then they are denying the evidence of their own eyes these past three years.
Since making his Newcastle United debut, Dan Burn has been fit and available to be named in 114 NUFC Premier League matchday squads, Eddie Howe has played him in all of those 114 PL matches, 110 times starting the games and four times coming off the bench.
Dan Burn was a key part of the remarkable second half of the 2021/22 season, having looked sure to be relegated, Burn came in at centre-back and helped United have the third best Premier League form for the second half of that season, only Liverpool and Man City picking up more points.
Sven Botman then came in and many laughed at Dan Burn moved to left-back, United qualified for the Champions League and got to the League Cup Final. In that 2022/23 PL season, Newcastle United had the best defence in the top tier, only Man City conceded as few goals.
Last season, the worst in Newcastle’s entire club history for injuries. Dan Burn hurt his back. He insisted on coming back weeks earlier than he should of to help Eddie Howe and NUFC.
What a player, what a brilliant character, what a superb player!
This season it has been central defence again, Sven Botman missing most of the season.
A Carabao Cup Final victory and if winning their game in hand, Newcastle will be fourth in the league.
That brilliant defence of 2022/23 was almost on show at Wembley.
Nick Pope in goal, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn in front of him. All of them magnificent. Tino didn’t do too bad either!
Dan Burn totally deserves this chance with England and his heart will be bursting with pride if he gets back on that Wembley pitch in the coming days.
If he does so, who would bet against his first England goal???
Dan Burn speaking after winning the Carabao Cup:
“I have had worse weeks.
“I don’t want to go to sleep because I feel like I’m dreaming and it’s all going to be a lie.
“I don’t get many [goals], so I saved it for a big occasion.
“I feel strange, I feel numb at the minute.
“I will be first there tomorrow [Monday] at England training at 8 o’clock.”
Eddie Howe on Dan Burn after the win over Liverpool:
“What a few days for Dan.
“His performance today was colossal at the back.
“We were working on those corners tirelessly for two weeks.
“He’s delivered one from long range.
“Incredible header.
“So fitting it’s him.”
Arne Slot was asked afterwards why 6ft 7in Burn had been left so free…:
“We have five players zonally close to our goal.
“If the ball comes there we have our five strongest players to attack the ball.
“Normally a player runs to the zone.
“Normally, and I think he [Dan Burn] is an exception, I’ve never seen in my life a player from that far away heading a ball with so much force into the far corner.
“Ninety nine out of 100 times that will not lead to a goal.
“Credit to him, Dan Burn is one of the few players that can score a goal from that distance with his head.”
