It is another dismal result for Getafe, who are ending the season with a whimper. It is six defeats in a row, and they have failed to score in their last five.

Atletico Madrid have been poor away from home in 2025, and that form continued with a disappointing 2-0 defeat at El Sadar. Alejandro Catena opened the scoring for Osasuna in the first half, and this was added to by Ante Budimir in the second.

The result means that Atleti officially cannot catch Real Madrid in second, and they are now only three points clear of Athletic. The win for Osasuna sees them move into ninth, level on points with Rayo Vallecano – who hold the final European place as things stand.

It is now almost certain that Real Betis will not be playing in next season’s Champions League after a second successive draw. But it could have been worse for Manuel Pellegrini’s side as Rayo raced into a two-goal lead after half time courtesy of Jorge de Frutos and Florian Lejeune. However, second half strikes from Cucho Hernandez and Isco ensured a share of the spoils.

Betis stay in sixth with that result, but they are now five points behind Villarreal with two matches to go. Rayo are eighth, but have Osasuna breathing down their neck in the race for the UEFA Conference League spot.
