Ange Postecoglou has revealed Tottenham Hotspur are taking a particularly cautious approach to Micky van de Ven's return from a hamstring injury.
Van de Ven has suffered four hamstring issues since he joined Spurs in 2023 and missed seven weeks over the festive period because of his latest problem. He returned to action in late January against Elfsborg but was substituted during the match and has not been seen since.
With fans fearing another setback for Van de Ven, Postecoglou insisted there are no fresh concerns and Spurs are simply working to make sure the 23-year-old overcomes his injury history for good.
"I guess with Micky, we decided to take a different strategy with him," Postecoglou said. "We just want to make sure he's absolutely right... talking to different people, he's working with different medical teams and rehab staff to make sure he's right.
"He's working well and feeling good, which is a positive."
Postecoglou expects Van de Ven back in action inside the next three weeks alongside centre-back partner Cristian Romero and forwards Dominic Solanke and Richarlison.
"Similar with Cuti," Postecoglou said of Romero. "We're just waiting. The healing in his quad is taking longer than we thought. He's got one more scan to make sure it's healed properly. Once we get that sign off, we should be good to go."
