It was an afternoon to forget for Milan Futuro, who were beaten at home by Torres, who are currently third in group B of Serie C Now. It ended 5-1 to the side from Sassari, Sardinia, after they got off to a whirlwind stand, killing off any hopes of a fightback from the hosts. Being 4-0 down at half-time left no chance for Bonera's side, who were without a host of players on perhaps their toughest day of the season so far.

It's a tough one to take but it should spur the team to pick themselves up and dust themselves off. A reaction is needed in the toughest times and there were sparks of it in the second half, even though the result was already beyond any doubt. Magrassi's goal - his first for the Club - was a small positive note, on which we can build. On Sunday, the Rossoneri travel to Ascoli for the lunchtime kick-off against a historic side in Italian football, who are on the up following a rocky start to the campaign.

MATCH REPORT After a seemingly bright start to the game, the Rossoneri found themselves a goal down after the guests' first shot of the afternoon. Fischnaller got in behind, avoiding the offside trap, and put it past Nava to make it 1-0. The goal shocked the Rossoneri, who conceded a second just moments later as Varela won the ball on the edge of the box and sent his low driven effort into the back of the net. A disallowed goal in the tenth minute was followed by a Torres' third goal in the 14th: Mastinu with the solo effort and finish from inside the area. Milan Futuro tried to get themselves back into proceedings but then found themselves without Chaka Traorè, who was forced off following a heavy collision with an opponents. Just moments later, Mastinu latched onto an error from Hodzic and made it 4-0.

The Rossoneri made two changes at the break: Malaspina and D'Alessio on for Sandri and Magni. The team looked to react with pride but failed to threaten Zaccagno's goal. The only real chance fell the way of Bozzolan, who sent a powerful effort whistling just past the post with the keeper beaten. Maximilian Ibrahimović came on to make his debut and set up Alberto Magrassi to pull one back with an acrobatic finish (86'). The guests added a fifth late on through Casini. It ended 5-1 to Torres.
