With last week’s loss, La Liga seems to be done and dusted with three matches still to go but Real Madrid have a chance to test their bench strength against Mallorca and end the season on a high.

With Xabi Alonso’s arrival imminent, Carlo Ancelotti has been under scrutiny this season but he will hope to end his stint as a manager for the 15-time European champions on a positive note.

Defensively, Mallorca will look to take advantage of the weekend Los Blancos defense while Kylian Mbappe will look to deal with their defence.

With that said, here is how Real Madrid can lineup against Mallorca.

GK – Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian was not at his best against FC Barcelona but has been a standout player this season. He will look to add to his cleansheet tally against a side who have not been threatening on the attacking front.

RB – Fede Valverde

An emergency call to this position since Lucas Vazquez suffered an injury and ruled out for the season subsequently. Will look to hold his ground and contribute in the midfield also.

CB – Jacobo Ramon

Played the entire match against Leganes in the Copa Del Rey and had a 23-minute stint against Celta Vigo two weeks ago. Fair to say, he has been unconvincing so far and will be eager to put in a better performance.

CB – Raul Asencio

The most experienced defender in the squad and has the responbility on his shoulders to prevent any damage. Needs to support the young Ramon in his first league start.

LB – Fran Garcia

An undisputed started for the remaining matches. His future at the club is uncertain but the Spaniard would hope to change that and be a crucial part of Xabi Alonso’s squad next season.

CM – Dani Ceballos

The Spanish national has not been at his best since returning from injury and was horrific in the El Clasico last week. Hopefully he regains his good form back in time for the Club World Cup.

CM – Luka Modric

Another player whose future is uncertain, but the Croatian will take every game as his last since Real Madrid are yet to offer him a contract renewal and good performances in the remaining fixtures can earn him that contract.

CM – Jude Bellingham

The Englishman should have been rested in a match like this but will start due to not many options being present. His shoulder surgery takes place once the season ends.

CAM – Arda Guler

The youngster was unable to deal with the pressure of an El Clasico and was one of the half-time substitutions. But that does not speak of his caliber and he needs to put that match behind him as a bad one and just move forward.

ST – Endrick

He has scored just 1 goal in 272 minutes in the league but has scored 5 in 6 games in the CDR. Another opportunity to show that he’s here to stay.

ST – Kylian Mbappe

With a hattrick in the El Clasico, the Frenchman now leads the leading goal scorer race and if all’s well, he will win it too. Also broke the record for the player with most goals by a Madrid player on his debut season. Will look to add to his tally with 3 games left to go.
