The 30,000 Galatasaray fans planning to meet Alvaro Morata in Istanbul need to wait, because the Milan striker won’t be able to fly out until the morning due to weather warnings.
The striker signed the contract today and stood for pictures with Galatasaray director of sport Abdullah Kavukcu and intermediary George Gardi.

He was due to fly out this evening and there were plans for 30,000 to gather at the airport to greet his arrival.
However, the flight was cancelled due to weather warnings over foggy conditions, so Italian reports suggest Morata will not land until Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, more details are beginning to emerge on the deal, which it was suggested would ultimately be worth €16m.
Now Calciomercato.com insist it is an 18-month loan with option to buy at the end of the season for a total figure of closer to €8m.
Milan paid €13m to purchase the Spain international from Atletico Madrid in July 2024 and he had scored six goals in 25 competitive appearances.
