Christian Pulisic played a key role in Milan’s 3-1 win over Bologna on Friday and celebrated his goal by pointing to his mom’s maiden name on the back of his jersey.
Milan players took to the field on Friday with special jerseys. Instead of their usual names, the backs of their shirts bore their mothers’ maiden names.
USMNT star Pulisic scored his 17th goal across all competitions this term and celebrated by pointing at his mother’s name on the back of his jersey.

Pulisic has now scored 11 goals, provided 11 assists in 32 Serie A games this term, and is the best Milan scorer in 2024-25.
The American star is reportedly set to sign a contract extension with the Serie A giants, getting a pay rise from €4m to €5m.
His contract runs out in 2027, but the new agreement would extend until 2029.
The ex-Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund star spoke to Sky Sport Italia after scoring one goal and providing an assist against the Rossoblu.
“We found some consistency now, which is important for us,” Pulisic said.
“We know that we have a great spirit, but we’re playing really good games at the moment.
“If we win two trophies in one season, you cannot say that is a normal campaign. We want to keep that going,” concluded Pulisic.
“Of course, we’re not satisfied with where we are in Serie A, but we’re doing well right now and it is important that we end the season well.”
Milan will meet Bologna again in the Coppa Italia Final on Wednesday night.
The Rossoneri have already won the Supercoppa Italiana this season but currently sit 8th in the Serie A table, outside of a European placement.
