It comes as no surprise that Ronaldinho would love to see his former club triumph in Munich on May 31.

“I hope so. PSG treated me with great affection when I arrived in Europe, and they’ve been chasing this dream for many years,” he said.

“Now they have a great coach who is also a good friend, and I hope things end well with that long-awaited Champions League.”

There are more links to Italian football given that Ancelotti, one of Ronaldinho’s ex-Milan managers, was recently appointed as the Brazil national team coach.

“I like it. We’ve worked together, and I know him well,” said the ex-striker.

“I think it’s a good decision by the Federation. As a Brazilian, I am happy, and I hope he can do a great job with the next World Cup.”

Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season after becoming the club’s most successful coach.

The Italian tactician lifted 15 trophies during his time at the Bernabeu, including three Champions League titles.
