Barcelona secured a commanding 0-5 victory over Valencia in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals away at Mestalla last night.
It was yet another dominant performance from the Blaugrana against Carlos Corberan’s men, having thrashed him 7-1 in La Liga less than two weeks back.
The team’s return to Barcelona after the game, though, was disrupted due to weather conditions, prompting manager Hansi Flick to give the players a day off from training.
However, despite having the day off, several Barcelona stars showed up at the Ciutat Esportiva today and trained normally, showing their complete commitment towards the team, reports Jijantes FC.
Jules Kounde, Ferran Torres, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, Inigo Martinez, Andreas Christensen, Wojciech Szczesny, Eric Garcia, Robert Lewandoski, Ronald Araujo, Dani Olmo, Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong were the ones who opted trained voluntarily despite there being no sessions.

After the game last night, Barcelona had planned to take a charter flight at 1:45 am from Castellon, with an expected arrival time of around 2:30 am in Barcelona.
However, the flight had to be cancelled due to the weather conditions. The squad was forced to take a bus, which took approximately four hours, meaning they arrived around 6 am.
Flick had scheduled the players to meet at 12:30 pm at the Ciutat Esportiva for a closed-door training session, but ended up suspending it.
Despite that, all the aforementioned players showed up voluntarily and trained at the facilities, in preparation for Sunday’s La Liga clash against Sevilla.
It must be noted that Gavi and Christensen, both of whom were training today, were not part of the squad for the Valencia game due to injury issues.
