Tammy Abraham has made it clear that he sees his future at AC Milan in an ideal world, and talks are expected with Roma to try create those conditions.

Regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, plus what happened before and what will happen in the summer, Abraham will remain the man who scored a 93rd-minute winner in a Milan derby to win a trophy that was the club’s 50th.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) rewind the tape to the end of August, when Abraham arrived rather at the last minute with Alexis Saelemaekers going the other way to Roma in a loan swap. The English striker immediately showed commitment and dedication, with the hopes to make it a permanent stay.

Then, after the events in the Fiorentina with the penalty snatched from Christian Pulisic and missed, followed by physical issues and not many goals, it really did look like being a one-season adventure in the red and black for the former Chelsea man.

Now, after the goal in Riyadh and the arrival of Sergio Conceicao, things might just have changed for the better.Abraham is happy in Milan and would like to stay at the club, but it will not depend only on him.

One thing is certain and that is that the 27-year-old considers his time at Roma to be over. The Giallorossi had already cast him aside in the summer, which is why he left the team, and the relationship with the fans is no longer as idyllic as it was, with Roma fans booing him at San Siro.

On the other hand, Alexis Saelemaekers is also very happy in the capital and above all with Claudio Ranieri he is carving out an important role for himself. Roma wants to keep him and in the next few hours contacts are expected between the Giallorossi and the Rossoneri to study the situation.

The sporting director Ghisolfi is in Milan for the Lega Serie A meeting and could make a small detour in the direction of Casa Milan. The objective is to keep the respective players but making sure that the operations are positive on the balance sheet.
