Inter bounced back from the loss against Juventus in the league and reacted perfectly, beating Bologna and booking a spot in the quarter finals of the Coppa Italia Primavera, where Coach Zanchetta's side will face the winner of AC Milan vs. Cagliari. The Nerazzurri controlled the match despite the narrow one-goal victory. The game was decided by a burst of brilliance from Venturini, who, in the 17th minute, beat Pessina with a powerful right-footed strike.

Inter started the match with their foot on the accelerator: in the 12th minute, Zouin went on a solo run down the left-flank and arrived in the penalty area, however the number 25's effort was saved by Pessina. The opening goal came just five minutes later, in the 17th minute, when Venturini, from a tight angle in the penalty area, unleashed a powerful right-footed shot which hit the back of the net. Just before the end of the first half, Bologna posed their first threat: Ravaglioli burst into the penalty area and shot with his right foot, but was denied by Calligaris who used his reflexes to put the ball over the bar. The second half began and the Nerazzurri continued to pose a threat, this time with De Pieri. In the 50th minute, the winger cut in on his stronger foot and shot, however, this effort was saved by Pessina. Inter continued to put Bologna under pressure with their attacking plays, and after a series of rebound's in the penalty area, Topalovic unleashed a first-time right-footed shot, which was saved by the Rossoblù goalkeeper. Bologna pushed on and Calligaris was forced to make a save once again in the 73rd minute to deny Castaldo, who was played in by Ravaglio in the penalty area. The guests did not give up and threatened with a final push in the 91st minute as Tordiglione's header went just wide. The referee blew for full time. Inter advance to the quarter finals of Coppa Italia Primavera, where the side will face AC Milan.
