Coming out of Sassuolo Academy, Giacomo Raspadori signed for Napoli in the summer of 2022. Since then, he has been in and out of the side. He hasn’t been convincing enough for manager Antonio Conte to allot him the primary role.

Raspadori has featured for around 515 minutes across 14 games this season so far. He has managed to find the back of the net only once and provide an assist. He is averaging 0.9 shots, 0.8 key passes, and 0.2 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Italian attacker can be deployed as a striker or used as an attacking midfielder. He is quick, technically sound, agile, and intelligent. He likes to provide long passes, initiate attacks and provide finishing touches around the penalty box.
West Ham United’s interest in Giacomo Raspadori is understandable as they have lost Jarrod Bowen, Niclas Fullkrug, and Michail Antonio for a long period due to their respective problems. The only striker they have at the moment is Danny Ings, who is not good enough to be the first choice at this time.
Hence, the Hammers need to strengthen their offensive pack before the winter window closes. Talking about the prospects of Raspadori, the player can add a lot of value despite his struggles at Napoli. Since he is well decently experienced, he can adapt quickly.
As the 24-year-old is not a regular starter, West Ham United will not have too much trouble in convincing Napoli to sanction his move. However, a few other clubs are also keeping tabs on the attacker and might give close competition.
