Meanwhile, leaders Napoli will take on Cagliari at home, looking to finish the job and win their second Scudetto in three years.

Serie A Rejects Inter Milan Request for Final-Day Rescheduling

Inter reportedly tried to push for an early kick-off, requesting the games to be played on Thursday.

However, their appeal fell on Serie A’s deaf ears.

Per the League Statute, Inter had every right to file this request, just as Fiorentina did last season.

Indeed, La Viola demanded a similar thing ahead of their UEFA Conference League final against Olympiacos.

While Serie A approved the Tuscan club’s proposal, they turned down the Nerazzurri.

On the other hand, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis even tried to postpone matches for Saturday or Sunday.

Luckily for Inter ahead of the Champions League final, his effort was in vain.
