After reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League, Lazio have less than 72 hours to prepare for a direct Serie A showdown against Bologna.
The Serie A clash between Bologna and Lazio kicks off at 15:00 local time on Sunday, March 16th at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Following a relatively slow start to the campaign, Bologna have found their groove under Vincenzo Italiano and have now emerged as a genuine candidate for back-to-back Champions League qualifications. The Rossoblu currently sit sixth in the Serie A table, two points adrift from fourth-placed Juventus and just one behind Lazio.
Based on form alone, one might consider the Emilians as the favorites to clinch a Top Four spot, as they’re currently riding a three-match winning streak after beating Milan, Cagliari and Hellas Verona in their last outings. Moreover, they have only suffered a single defeat in their last 14 fixtures across all competitions.
While Bologna are on the up, Lazio are showing signs of slowing down as of late. Despite surpassing Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League Round of 16, their performances in the two legs left much to be desired, and the same can be said about their most recent Serie A outing which ended in a 1-1 draw against Udinese.
Needless to say, the packed schedule and the heavy absentees are taking their toll on Marco Baroni’s team, but the Biancocelesti must gather their strength for this particular contest, otherwise, they risk slipping behind in the race for the Champions League.
