Jarrod Bowen demands consistency from West Ham teammates after victory over Leicester

West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has called on his teammates to be more consistent following their 2-0 win over Leicester City on Thursday night.
Tomas Soucek puit the Hammers on their way to victory, poking home a rebound to celebrate his 30th birthday with a crucial goal just 21 minutes into the game.
Bowen then handed West Ham a two-goal cushion, squeezing an effort through the legs of Leicester centre-back Jannik Vestergaard and into the back of the net.
The Englishman didn’t get credit for the goal, but it didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things as West Ham kept their momentum going following last weekend’s remarkable 1-0 win over Arsenal.
Speaking after the game, Bowen urged his teammates to keep their foot on the gas ahead of another tricky Premier League outing against Newcastle United.
“I think this season, if we’re being honest, we haven’t consistently been at a level,” Bowen said (via BBC Live).
“We haven’t won back-to-back, and that’s probably because we’ve had a really good result, really good performance and not followed it up in the next week for whatever reason.
“We’ve really took to it the players and two really good performances because we don’t play now for 12 days or something.
“We know now we can enjoy training and then look forward to the next game, which is another tough one.”
The win against Leicester took West Ham up to 33 points, 16 clear of the dreaded relegation zone and level with Manchester United.
They will have nearly two weeks to recharge before hosting Newcastle United at the London Stadium on March 10.
