Lazio are trying to sprint to sign Jacopo Fazzini from Empoli, but they haven’t been able to completely seal the deal with Empoli, leaving an opening for Napoli and other outfits. The Biancocelesti remain in the lead, but they’ll have to act quickly to avoid being overtaken, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.

The capital club is offering a loan with an obligation to buy for €10/11M. The two sides will continue to discuss the formula and numbers. The Partenopei have lodged an inquiry to be ready if the transfer doesn’t come together.

Lazio will look to fend off Napoli and shake hands for Fazzini in a hurry. Their director Angelo Fabiani didn’t play coy about it in a recent presser (via Mediaset).

The Azzurri aren’t deep in the midfield either and will soon bid farewell to Micheal Folorunsho, Alfredo Pedullà reports. He’ll join Fiorentina on a season-long loan with a €8/9M option to buy and obtain a pay raise.

He’d be a good fit for both teams, which use 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 depending on the match-up or the phase of the game. He has shown his best stuff as a no.10, but he can hold his own as a box-to-box and is relatively cheap. The Biancocelesti arguably need also somebody who could deputize Nicolò Rovella and Matteo Guendouzi too, though.
