Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi could make up to nine starting XI changes in Thursday’s encounter against Udinese.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, Inzaghi plots a comprehensive line-up overhaul after an intense game at Lazio a few days ago.
Though the Nerazzurri humbled Marco Baroni’s side 6-0 in the capital, they paid a hefty price.
Indeed, star midfielder Nicolo Barella picked up a knock at the Stadio Olimpico and will skip Udinese’s visit tomorrow.
In addition to the Italian midfielder, Federico Dimarco sustained a minor fitness issue on Monday.
Josep Martinez will finally make his Inter debut, replacing Yann Sommer between the sticks.
Tajon Buchanan should take Dimarco’s place on the right. Meanwhile, Matteo Darmian will dislodge Denzel Dumfries.
Yann Bisseck and Carlos Augusto will start at the back alongside Alessandro Bastoni or Stefan de Vrij.
However, Inzaghi will make drastic changes to his midfield set-up.
Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Barella will make way for Davide Frattesi, Kristjan Asllani, and Piotr Zielinski.
In attack, Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez will drop to the bench.
Mehdi Taremi and Joaquin Correa will probably lead the line, with Marko Arnautovic falling out of favor with Inzaghi.
