Picture: Calafiori shares Roma teenage memory with Bove

Arsenal star Riccardo Calafiori waited for comforting news about Edoardo Bove’s health before publishing his first public message for his former teammate, as he posted a picture showing him and Bove in a Roma training suit.

Like the Fiorentina midfielder, the Italian defender also spent his late childhood and teenage years playing for the Giallorossi youth academy, where the two players became friends.

Calafiori posts teenage memory with Bove at Roma

Both made their Serie A debut at the Stadio Olimpico under Paulo Fonseca, although the centre-back eventually left Roma in January 2022, at a time when Bove was starting to play with regularity under José Mourinho.

A picture published on Calafiori’s Instagram account gives proof of the long-standing friendship between the two players.
