Ajax join the hunt for out-of-favour Barcelona star | OneFootball

A new suitor have positioned themselves in the race for the signature of Barcelona star Ansu Fati.

That’s according to Dutch football insider Mike Verweij, who points towards Ajax as the outfit in question.

The name of attacker Ansu has of course taken its place front and centre in the media chatter in Catalunya’s capital throughout the January transfer window.

This comes with the Spaniard’s ongoing struggles for game-time having culminated in mounting exit links.

A whole host of clubs from La Liga and across Europe alike have been credited with an interest in his services, albeit with none, to date, having managed to meet the demands set out by Barcelona.

All of a Blaugrana persuasion will in turn no doubt be interested to hear of a fresh suitor emerging in the Ansu sweepstakes this week.

As per a report from De Telegraaf’s Mike Verweij, Ajax have earmarked the 22-year-old as a leading target for the final days of the transfer window.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, Ansu is one of a number of options being taken into serious consideration.
