The French Football Federation has officially confirmed the squad for the U19 European Championship in Northern Ireland, with Eintracht's young attacker included.

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Jean-Mattéo Bahoya will take part in the UEFA U19 European Championship in Northern Ireland, having been confirmed in the final France squad by the French Football Federation.

The team prepared for the tournament in Clairefontaine from 21 June to 13 July, before coach Bernard Diomède narrowed down his roster to the final 20 players.

Bahoya on target

France used their three-week preparation period in Paris to schedule two friendlies against Uzbekistan. Les Bleus won the first of those 3-0, while in the second game on Friday Bahoya made it 1-1 before his side went on to win 5-3 on penalties.

Tougher tests are to be expected in Belfast, especially against nine-time champions Spain in their final group game on 22 July. France's first fixture is against Türkiye on Tuesday (kick-off 20:00 CEST), ahead of a meeting with Denmark on Friday.
