It has been a difficult season for Dayot Upamecano (25), who has not always shown his best form for Bayern Munich. According to L’Équipe, the former RB Leipzig defender could leave the Bavarian club this summer.

Bayern Munich’s stance is clear – they do not wish to sell Upamecano. Whilst Matthijs De Ligt and Kim Min-Jae are both on the market, the same does not go for Upamecano, whom the Bundesliga club are desperate to retain as they look to return to the top of the tree in Germany.

However, Upamecano, who has spent three years at Bayern Munich, could be tempted to leave, despite possessing a contract that runs until 2026. The Frenchman would be open to a new challenge and according to L’Équipe, he is particularly highly rated by Premier League clubs, who could be tempted into making a move. It is now up to new Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany to convince Upamecano to stay at the club beyond the summer.
