Still no Pacho, Koch, Amenda or Bahoya

Centre-backs Willian Pacho and Robin Koch remain on holiday after taking part in the 2024 Copa América and EURO 2024 respectively. Jean-Mattéo Bahoya is currently with the French Under-19 side at the European Championship in Northern Ireland, while Aurèle Amenda is continuing his recovery from injury.

While conditioning coach Markus Murrer put the outfield players through their paces in the warm-up and the Eagles’ goalkeepers worked up a sweat with Jan Zimmerman, striker Hugo Ekitiké completed a specially tailored programme which not only involved drills with his colleagues, but individual drills with Schahriar Bigdeli, head of the athletics department. The 22-year-old Frenchman was able to take full part in the afternoon session.

Like Ekitiké, summer signing Oscar Højlund was also involved in parts of training.

First friendly of the summer The Eagles play their first pre-season friendly against TSV Heusenstamm on Saturday 20 July (15:30 CEST) as part of the ‘Eintracht in the Region’ campaign, before heading to Louisville, Kentucky, two days later.
