Eintracht Frankfurt gain top four ground with win vs Kiel

Holstein Kiel started the brighter of the two sides, however they were unable to turn this into a goal within the first fifteen minutes.
In the 15th minute, Hugo Ekitiké's shot was saved well by Kiel's Dähne as he was unlucky not to score for 1-0 for the hosts Frankfurt.
Minutes later, Hugo Larsson got the opening goal for the home side as his knee provided a clever finish for the lead.
Nathaniel Brown clattered a shot onto the woodwork in the 25th minute as his half-volley hit the post as Eintracht Frankfurt were close to doubling their lead.

During the latter stages of the game, Frankfurt's Rasmus Kristensen was booked for a late challenge.
In the dying minutes of added time, Ellye Wahi was brought down in the box for Frankfurt but the referee denied a penalty for the hosts.
