GdS: When Morata is expected to join Milan following EURO 2024 triumph | OneFootball

Alvaro Morata will soon be able to turn his attention towards joining AC Milan having secured the 2024 European Championship trophy with Spain.

As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the Spanish striker has been an immensely important and popular member of Luis de la Fuente’s team that beat England 2-1 in the final at the Olympiastadion.

Morata spoke very highly of Italy and his time in the country after the final when interviewed by Sky Sport Italia after the match and he will soon be back with his wife and four children. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada were in the stands to watch him in action.

Milan are expected to pay the €13m release clause to Atletico Madrid once he has completed his medical, which will likely be carried out in Madrid. With a holiday needed after Euro 2024, Morata is expected to show up at Milanello just after the tour in America which is July 25 to August 7.

If he arrives when the team is in a rest period, he will train with Milan Futuro until normal order resumes at Milanello.

Morata’s contract will last for four years, meaning he will be almost 36 years old when it comes to an end. He will earn €4.5m per season as well as some bonuses.
